If you haven't guessed yet, the Lidenbrock Event is basically an excuse for me to make a bunch of non-dinosaur prehistoric beastie-based kaiju. While I can explain the herbivorous dinosaur teams as a ecosystem balancer and the carnivourous teams as weapons, aquatic and flying monsters would never be practical for either use. An aquatic animal sucks at land combat and can escape into the water too easily. Likewise, while a flying monster could do some decent damage to a city, it also is too good at escaping. A random mutation was the only way to go, which was kinda nice because it let me go crazy with their designs. Plus now I get to have my own made up island where all my favorite prehistoric beasties live in semi harmony.

Metringar's name, like Torkenrak's, is just me making up gibberish that sounds neat. Also, I would like to note that Metringar's deisgn is very similar to the way the Loch Ness Monster looks in Tyrantis's universe, although I've yet to post a picture of my take on Nessie. Just a FYI.
